This is the second newsletter to our members.  Our primary goal in this newsletter is to encourage you to renew your membership, which is so vital in allowing us to pay for insurance, utilities and materials to display artifacts.
We would also like to encourage you to become more involved in our organization by volunteering to be a docent, assisting at the Civil War Reenactment this coming August or becoming a board member.  We are currently looking for someone to serve as the Vice President.
This past February a soft opening was held at the Museum.  We had over thirty visitors including Mayor Kalisz and his son.  This unofficial opening was such a positive experience that we are sure the museum will be well supported by the general public.  To see some pics from the opening, click here.
Work continues on the "Grand Opening" of the Museum which we expect will be announced within the next two months.  As stated above, we will need docents who will receive instruction on the history of Fort Taber prior to being assigned to the Museum.
Finally, the Civil War Reenactment in August will be larger than last year, 17 units have been contacted.  We will need volunteers to assist with the reenactment so that the experience will be both entertaining and educational for our visitors.

If you would like to become involved with any of these activities, or would like to serve on the board please feel free to contact me.
